Monday 15th November

TAKE PHOTOS OF OBJECTS IN ORDER TO PRODUCE AN ADVERTISEMENT

Using the objects you brought from home, take photos in order to produce an advertisement.

You will need to take lots of photos (min. 50) in a variety of arrangements, from different angles, with different lighting.

This will give you plenty of images to choose from when we come to edit them in Photoshop on Friday.

Homework:

Bring in some more objects for another photoshoot next Monday.

Due: Mon 22nd Nov

Monday 8th & Friday 12th November

In class:

Take photos in the style of one of your 4th artist. Try to make them a bit more individual/personalised than previous photos.

Edit your photos in Photoshop in ways that help link them to the style of the artist.

Today is your last chance to take photos.

Homework:
  • Book to be handed in on Friday (14th) for marking. All artist pages to be complete.

Due: Fri 14th Nov

  • Bring objects in on Monday that you will use for the first stage of your Advertising project, as discussed in class.

Due: Mon 15th Nov

Monday 1st & Friday 5th November

In class:

Take photos in the style of one of the photographers you have already looked at. However, this time don't try to copy it... just take the bits you like and make the rest your own. Some of these "bits" might include:

  • Objects / Subject Matter
  • Angles
  • Black & White or colour?
  • Bold, vibrant colours, or dull, desaturated colours?
  • Textures
  • Lighting / Shadows / Contrast
  • Backgrounds
  • Focal length (i.e. is it all in focus, or is some of it blurred?)

This is where your photos start to become more individual. You can now choose how your pictures look different, whilst remembering to still link it to the photographers you have looked at - put that in your annotations.

Homework:

Research a 4th photographer - someone new, who isn't on the project brief and not the same as anyone else in the class. Present this photographer in your sketchbook and bring objects in on Monday that you can use to take photos in the style of them.

Due: Mon 8th Nov
