In class:
Take photos in the style of one of the photographers you have already looked at. However, this time don't try to copy it... just take the bits you like and make the rest your own. Some of these "bits" might include:
- Objects / Subject Matter
- Angles
- Black & White or colour?
- Bold, vibrant colours, or dull, desaturated colours?
- Textures
- Lighting / Shadows / Contrast
- Backgrounds
- Focal length (i.e. is it all in focus, or is some of it blurred?)
This is where your photos start to become more individual. You can now choose how your pictures look different, whilst remembering to still link it to the photographers you have looked at - put that in your annotations.
Homework:
Research a 4th photographer - someone new, who isn't on the project brief and not the same as anyone else in the class. Present this photographer in your sketchbook and
bring objects in on
Monday that you can use to take photos in the style of them.
